In 2006, actor Stephen Fry received a letter from a girl struggling with depression. This was his response.

THIS is why Stephen Fry is the best person on the face of the fucking planet.

If only someone had shown me this at that actual time in 2010 when I started with depression.

Stephen Fry is officially one of the most LOVELY HUMAN BEINGS on the planet. This made me a little emotional, both from the praise-worthy advice and comforting words but just by the fact that he took the TIME to write these back to a person who may have really needed it.

He didn’t claim to know all, or be condescending or even just “You’ll get over it,” He just honestly answered and comforted.

I’m not even depressed and I FELT COMFORTED.
